SUMMARY:Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Industry Day
DESCRIPTION:The Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium engages industry and academia to develop and mature technologies in the field of Information Warfare (IW) that enhance Navy and Marine Corps mission effectiveness. It focuses on underlying technologies that advance IW capabilities that can support research\, development and prototyping. IWRP uses an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) to collaborate. \nIndustry Day\nMonday\, 14 February 2022\n5:00 AM HST\nNaval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific and Atlantic will host an Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) OTA Consortium Virtual Industry Day. \nThe following Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs) technical briefs will be presented: \n22-PAC-01075 5G-Enabled Command & Control (C2) / Situational Awareness (SA) Tool: The purpose of this prototype effort is to provide 5G-enabled C2/SA tools relevant to Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO) mission scenarios. The 5G-enabled C2/SA tools proposed must integrate onto an existing\, Government-provided 5G testbed network infrastructure (IWRP 21-PAC-0163). \n22-PAC-01076 5G Connected Vehicles / Autonomous Platforms: The purpose of this effort is to provide connected vehicle(s) / autonomous platform(s) relevant to EABO mission scenarios and selected warfighting functions including force protection\, intelligence\, and logistics. Prototype solution must integrate platforms onto an existing\, Government-provided 5G testbed network infrastructure (IWRP 21-PAC-0163). \n22-PAC-01077 5G-Networked ISR Sensors: The purpose of this prototype effort is to provide a diverse suite of 5G-enabled Intelligence\, Surveillance\, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensors relevant to EABO mission scenarios. Solution must integrate ISR suite onto an existing\, Government-provided 5G testbed network infrastructure (IWRP 21-PAC-0163). \n22-PAC-01078 Data Engineering Pipelines and DataOps: The purpose of the effort is to create and test a DATAOPS Ecosystem prototype to include: API Gateway and API Documentation utilizing open-source tools to allow users programmatic access to datasets and file sets. The prototype solution must include a User Interface that allows users to search data via intuitive common use desktop operating systems. \n22-PAC-01079 Cloud\, Data and Analytics at the Edge: The purpose of this prototype is to create and deploy a cloud and cloud at the edge implementation or a DATAOPS Ecosystem; develop the architecture and methodology to deploy a cloud and cloud edge DATAOPS Ecosystem for Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) in addition to Manned Naval Ships. \n22-PAC-01082 Digital HF Mesh (DHFM) Embarkable System: The purpose of this effort is to provide a prototype for a Digital HF Mesh Ground-based Embarkable System that provides an independent energy generation system to power a HF communication node and allow for remote\, off-the-grid operations. \n22-LANT-01053 Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) Cloud Services: The government is seeking the opportunity to discuss a “solution” demo on a service delivery model for both information technology (IT) platform(s) and service delivery\, which will enable effective delivery of CSSP cloud services AND cost efficient to the mission owner and CSSP. Testing of solution will be on a commercial or DoD environment with a CSSP Integrated Product Team (IPT) provided network. \n22-LANT-01054 United States Marine Corps the Expeditionary Advanced Ground Link (USMC EAGL): The government is seeking the opportunity to discuss the mission of the Terrestrial Wideband Transmission Systems (TWTS) Family of Systems (FoS)\, which is to provide reliable and resilient wideband communication paths between Command and Control (C2) nodes across the Marine Air Ground Task Force. \nIf you are interested in participating in the virtual event please register here. \nFor further information\, please contact:\nMari Garcia-Reynante\, mariaelena.s.garcia-reynante.civ@us.navy.mil\nLauryn Hiser\, lauryn.a.hiser.civ@us.navy.mil

SUMMARY:SAME Honolulu Post and HCES - 2022 Engineers Week "Kick-off" Webinar
DESCRIPTION:SAME HONOLULU POST AND HAWAII COUNCIL OF ENGINEERING SOCIETIES (HCES)\n2022 ENGINEERS WEEK “KICK-OFF” WEBINAR \nOnline via Microsoft Teams Meeting (Microsoft Teams Meeting call-in information will be emailed to you 12 hours prior to the webinar.) – Register by 12 am HST\, February 22\, 2022. \nTopic: Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) \nPresenter: RADM Dean VanderLey\, Commander\, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific \nSynopsis:\nThe Navy’s four public shipyards perform a vital role in national defense by executing maintenance on submarines and aircraft carriers in order to provide combat-ready ships to the fleet. Originally designed and built in the 19th century\, the Navy’s public shipyards are not efficiently configured to maintain and modernize nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines. \nTo create the shipyards that our nation needs and to manage significant investment in facilities and equipment\, the Navy established the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) program office in May 2018 as a centrally-managed program at the Echelon II level to construct and recapitalize dry docks\, optimize infrastructure\, and update industrial plant equipment. In the Pacific area of operations\, SIOP addresses Puget Sound Naval Shipyard at Naval Base Kitsap\, Washington and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam\, Hawaii.
